Sunset Bay

The house was filthy. Hair balls in the showers. Stained sheets. Just gross through the whole house. Cleaners were there when we arrived at 4:30pm and had to wait on them. Not sure what the cleaned. The dock is missing many boards and is really dangerous, especially with having 7 kids at the property. Management was no help. We did not stay at the house. It was very unsafe and absolutely disgusting and the dock is a safety hazard. And it’s held up with a strap. We requested a full refund. Beach box does not care about safety or cleanliness. Do not rent with them. Pictures on listing are a misrepresentation of the property.

The house was great!! We had a blast fishing off the back and will definitely be coming back for more fishing. We caught black drum, flounder, redfish, speckled trout, and croaker. Had ample room for everyone. Host was very communicative and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house on Galveston Island. It was just what we needed to relax. The fishing from the dock was fun as well. If it was warmer we would have taken advantage of the pool.

Great home with great deck! We had a lot of fun fishing. The communication from the host was amazing! They were available at nearly every hour of the day and responses were so prompt (replied within minutes!). Instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear and detailed, and the reminders and offers throughout the trip were very helpful. Wonderful hosts. AC/heat worked well. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet. A few downsides:- There were no towel hangers or toilet paper roll holder in multiple bathrooms (made using the restroom somewhat inconvenient).- Some parts of the deck were worn/damaged making parts of the deck unstable- The house was clean for the most part, but there were some spots that had clearly not been cleaned in a while or were not properly cleaned (especially the pantry)- Since we visited in the wintertime, we would’ve liked thicker blankets. There were only thin blankets availableThese are just minor things that could easily be fixed, and didn't have a major impact on our trip. Overall rating: 4.5/5! Would definitely stay again!
