Southern Exposure

We stayed here as an end of summer trip with our group of friends and our kids and I will say this place is a kids PARADISE. They absolutely loved the pool and the game room. However, when we arrived the AC in the downstairs unit (with the bunks and games) was not working and we weren’t able to use the room for anyone to sleep in because it was so hot. The railing of the back balcony was incredibly loose and posed a hazard to the kids and one of the bedroom doors would not open and there was a bee infestation right at the pool stairs. The hosts were very responsive and had someone out the next morning to address our concerns, but our first night was a bit of a challenge. The house layout works well for multiple families and we had a great time - but the bedroom doors are all incredibly thin (slatted) so you can hear everything all the time. Ultimately it was a kids paradise and we had fun.

The house was great and very roomy. It is a great place for a large family or group gathering. Pool was greatThe only thing is that the floors were not clean. Everyone socks and feet were dirty from the floor. There were no trash bags in the home so we purchased some. The morning of check out we were sent a message that we need to strip the bed linens. This is the first time I had been asked to strip the beds in a rental house.

Over all the beach house was great, we had alot of fun just some Air conditioning issues in the game room but the experience was great.

House and location was great!!! Pool was excellent.. Only suggestion we would make is more utensils and pans to go in the oven.. Other than that it was great!!!

I would highly recommend this property for a large group. Our family had 3 married couples, 4 young men (ages 16-22) and 4 young women (ages 18-20). The space and bedroom arrangements were perfect for our group. The upstairs has a large living area open to the dining area and kitchen. Since we brought a lot of food and cooked every day, the kitchen was crowded, but we made it work. Bedroom with king bed and bedroom with 2 double beds with a shared bathroom are on each side of the common area. Another bedroom with 2 double bunkbeds and private bath, plus a half bath, and laundry are also on this floor (upper). There is also a large covered deck at the front of this floor and another large open deck on the rear. The lower floor has another large bunk/recreation room with 6 double beds in stacks of three built into the wall. This room also has table tennis, foose ball and arcade game. The bathroom is small with shower/no tub. There is adequate parking in the front and the rear includes another deck and 4 foot deep pool which we used a lot. You do have to drive to the beach but it is not far. We had a few maintenance issues upon arrival on Saturday & Sunday but most were resolved by Monday. The pool and bedroom arrangements were the main reasons for booking this property and we were not disappointed. The property does not have close neighbors but is surrounded by ponds and marsh-like vegetation on adjacent properties, so be prepared for insects and wildlife. Enjoyed our stay!
