Jamaica Cove

We were really looking forward to this stay, but unfortunately, the house did not live up to expectations. Upon arrival, the hot water was not working, which was a major inconvenience, especially after a long day of travel. The property manager was able to get someone out the next day, which was helpful but still frustrating. There was not an outdoor drill as promised. Again, the property manager was able to resolve the next day but frustrating. The downstairs bedrooms were in poor condition, not clean and had visible damage, including holes in the walls which made the space feel neglected and uncomfortable. The overall condition of the home felt much older and way less maintained that what was portrayed in the listing photos.The kitchen was disappointing. It was sparsely stocked, and the knives and cooking tools were outdated. Overall, it was difficult to prepare meals.What was most frustrating was how misleading the online photos were. The property appeared bright, updated, and well cared for, but in reality it felt worn and not well maintained. For the same price point we noticed nearby homes that were much more updated and offered significantly better amenities including extras, like kayaks and paddle boards, which would’ve really enhanced the experience. Overall, this property did not meet expectations and we would not choose to stay here again. The fact that we were still charged full price after our many complaints is disappointing.

This was my 2nd stay at the property and I was prepared this time and had a extension cord for the outside TV. Only to find out that the screen is broke. One of the TVs didn't work in the downstairs rooms either. The light in the pool only worked in the day time. Although none of these were deal-breakers for us because we love the house it was plenty of space perfect area to teach the kids how to fish and crab we enjoyed ourselves, this was for our Thanksgiving vacation.
